Q&A With Oren Sher, Managing Partner of Falcon Pacific Group

Q: Your agency clearly prioritizes connecting your clients with closure, considering you are offering them access to an affordable attorney-led estate planning tool called Estate Guru. Can you tell us why you think an estate plan is something everyone should do to secure their legacy?

A: At its heart, estate planning is an act of quiet love. It’s not just about paperwork — it’s about being present, even when you’re no longer here.

When we plan ahead, we’re not only organizing assets. We’re protecting peace of mind, honoring our relationships, and easing the path for those we care about. It’s our way of saying, “I thought of you. I want to make this easier, even when I can’t be there.”

Life is unpredictable. We can’t choose when we leave, but we can choose what we leave behind: confusion or clarity, stress or support. Estate planning allows us to speak one last time — with intention, care, and love.

And today, we have more tools than ever to plan well. If we love our people, we plan for them. Because silence, in the moments that matter most, is no gift at all.

Q: As you think about clients who are getting their ducks in a row and ensuring peace of mind for their families and loved ones, life insurance is obviously a significant component. How did you become interested in insurance, and how do you tangibly see it helping your clients?

A: I didn’t plan to work in insurance. Like many, I stumbled into it. But I stayed — because I found real purpose here.

This work is about more than policies. It’s about helping people protect what they’ve built and the people they love. It’s about being there during uncertain times, offering answers when life gets complicated.

Often, our role is invisible — until it becomes essential. That’s when you realize: this isn’t just a job. It’s a lifeline. And it’s an honor to provide that support.

Q: You are a big believer in leveraging the benefits of artificial intelligence (AI) in your professional world. What do you think will be (or is) the best way for insurance agents to employ AI in their practice?

A: AI won’t replace great agents. But it will replace agents who refuse to adapt.

Used wisely, AI takes care of the repetitive tasks, clears the clutter, and gives us more time to focus on what truly matters: human connection, thoughtful strategies, and empathy. AI is the assistant — we are still the trusted guide.

It helps us work smarter, respond faster, and be more present for our clients. And in that presence, trust is built. That’s where agents make their greatest impact.

Q: Your employees and colleagues know you as a leader who always seems to have a relevant idiom or creative analogy to offer — like “The fish don’t just jump in the boat.” What’s your favorite “Orenism”?

A: If an “Orenism” is a metaphor that makes a message stick, I’m all in. Metaphors bring clarity, spark emotion, and help ideas land in a way people remember.

Here’s one I often share — sometimes in different ways:

“You wouldn’t trust your child’s driver if they had your agent’s track record. So why trust them with your financial future?”

It’s a simple reminder: when it matters most, don’t leave things to chance. Protect the people you love. They’re counting on you.
